A MASSIVE WELL DONE TO EVERYONE AT DEFENCE LAB LINCOLN THAT GRADED!
Saturday February 10th held our latest grading day with both our junior and adult students showing their techniques and drills to our visiting instructor Rich Portman – Defence Lab Crew Member.
The juniors kicked the proceedings off with a great grading full of energy and focus. You all did great and should be very proud of yourselves.
Our adults then entered the chaos and showed some great drills under pressure from 4 or 5 sets of pads, along with great fitness in our sparring rounds and intent when smashing the pads and partners!
Rich was impressed with the level shown from both our 1st year and 2nd year students and everyone passed their grading with flying colors!
We were then lucky enough to be treated to a post-grading session with Rich on some basic core mechanics and shapeshifting to really get you thinking about why we use the shapes we do for personal safety when there is potentially more than one opponent! A few confused looks at the end meant we had done our job and pushed you outside your comfort zone! Big thanks to everyone that stayed for the session – we hope you benefited from it!
